General Information & Recruitment Requirements

General Information
The Los Santos Police Department is one of the largest and most important departments within San Andreas. Our duty is to protect the citizens of Los Santos - the largest city and most populated city in all of San Andreas.

The Los Santos Police Department is almost always hiring new staff and we're always looking for the best and brightest in our department.

Requirements
Must have lived in San Andreas for 5 years
(( Your account level must at least be level 5 and have 60 plays hours on your account. ))

Must be at least 18 years old
(( You must role-playingly be at least 18 years old to join the department. This is not represented on your /stats screenshot. ))

Life biography must be at least 325 words.
(( Your life biography must be at least 325 words to show that you're able to write in the English language clearly and concisely. You may be denied if your application has multiple spelling or grammatical errors. ))

Must be able to use our Central Dispatch
(( You must have a working microphone with TeamSpeak installed and be able to speak English clearly. ))

Must not be, or have been, employed in any sort of illegal job or organization.
(( You may not have any Criminal Record with in the past week or a serious Criminal History. You must not have been involved with any Gang or Organised Crime. ))

Must be in a good physical and mental condition.
(( You must be able to Roleplay properly and not have your application metagame'd. ))

Must be able to write and speak fluent English.
(( This is for OOC and IC purposes. If we cannot understand you on TeamSpeak we can decline you. ))

Must know the Los Santos area well.
(( You must know all the basic locations within Los Santos, like the Gym, and Pay & Sprays. ))

Must have a valid identification.
(( You must have an updated character screenshot, /stats. ))

Must be available for Training.
(( As a cadet you're not allowed to take a Leave of Absence, for your first two weeks you must be available (no exams, holidays, or vacations) ))

If you do not meet all the Requirements, do not post an Application.
You can come to the Department Assistance (( TeamSpeak Channel )) and speak with an FTO Sergeant or higher who may be able to make an exception and allow you to apply.

Recruitment Process
Application
When posting an application, the applicant should be aware of our cadet limit. The LSPD only allows a certain number of cadets at any given time - once that cap is reached, we close recruitment and put all pending applications on hold. As an applicant, we'd recommend reading over the Department Policy to familiarize yourself with our policies and general procedures.

(( You will need to go onto TeamSpeak and wait in the recruitment lobby until a Field Training Officer comes to you. Also, for each part - you're to meet the officer in-game and role-play with the officer. You're expected to be in professional attire and have no illegal possessions. ))

Interview
Just like any other job, you'll have to go through an interview. This interview consists of multiple items and questions which will help our Field Training Officers determine if you're a good fit for our department. You'll be questioned on items such as the reason for your joining to previous work experience. You'll also be asked many questions that test your character and intelligence.

Theory Training (1st Training)
If you passed your interview you'll be subjected to theory training which is conducted vocally (( over TeamSpeak )). You'll be taught the following:
What the Chain of Command is and how to follow it.
What you're allowed to do as a Training Cadet and some of your duties.
How to participate in a reassignment.
Information about the different divisions.
What weapons you're permitted as a Training Cadet.
What vehicles you're permitted to use as a Training Cadet and Officer I.
Basic towing instruction.

Practical Training (2nd Training)
If you passed your theoretical training you'll be subjected to Practical training which is conducted actively (( over TeamSpeak and in-game )). You'll be taught the following:
Basic driving and pursuit tactics.
Some advanced driving tactics.
How to conduct a traffic stop.
How to conduct a high risk traffic stop.
How to arrest a suspect.
Target and range practice (( Paintball ))

Being a Training Cadet
If you passed your Practical Training you'll be hired into the department as a Training Cadet and will continue your training though practice and by working with other officers, you'll be required to be a cadet for a period of one week (7 days) from the date of your Practical Training. After seven days you'll be required to take a Cadet to Officer Exam. You'll be allowed to fail this only once and will be able to retake the exam - if you fail the second time - you'll be terminated.

Reinstatement and Transfers
If you've previously been in the department and are reinstating or if you're transferring to the Los Santos Police Department you'll have a separate process for your recruitment.

You'll be subjected to Theory Training and a Cadet to Officer Examination, upon completion of the Cadet to Officer Examination - you'll be hired as a probationary officer for three days and will required to be active for those three days then moved into the Patrol Division.

To Transfer you must be the equivalent f an Officer I in your department (( R1 )).

The San Andreas Sheriffs Department
The Federal Bureau of Investigation
The San Andreas Armed Services
The National Office of Security Enforcement
The Fire Department of San Andreas (( R2+ ))
The Security Headquarters for illegal Activities Firearms and Trafficking

Additional Information
